CL&P along with its parent company, Northeast Utilities, is committed to protecting the environment in Connecticut in everything we do. It means providing renewable energy options for our customers through CTCleanEnergyOptions, a program that supports environmentally friendly renewable resources from wind, water and more.

CL&P, along with other Northeast Utilities subsidiaries, manages more than 7,000 acres of land in Connecticut. These lands are open for public use as hiking trails, for cross-country skiing and bird watching. Other tracts are designated as wildlife management areas.

And that means cleaner air for everyone – it's just one more way we're improving the natural environment.
